Description

This enables efficient regeneration of the cloth by dissolving sediments that settle on the cloth and prevent the filtrate from passing through.

An acid solution (usually HCl) is fed to the closed filter press and it is kept in the chambers for a period necessary for the sediment to dissolve. The inlet and outlet of the acid is ensured by the pipes draining the filtrate. Once the incrusting solids are dissolved and the acid is discharged, the filter press is flushed with water.

Benefits and fields of use:

  • Regular acidifying of the cloth maintains its permanent permeability – it dissolves sediments that prevent the passing of the filtrate through the cloth and it also reduces redundant filtration resistance
  • The feed pump is less loaded thanks to the better permeability of the cloth, which significantly extends its service life
  • Extended service life of the cloth
