Description

This optional part of the filter press makes it possible to significantly increase the filtration cake dry solids content.

In principle, this is an equivalent to the cake washing, the difference being that pressure air is used as the transport medium instead of a liquid.

The air flows through the drill holes and holes on one side of the filtration plated and carries away residual liquid entrapped between suspended solids in the cake. After passing through the cake, the air flows into holes in the adjacent side of the chamber and then it is led out of the filter press by the internal drainage.

Benefits and fields of use:

  • Applied particularly for porous cakes and cakes that are hard to compress.
  • The drying process can follow filtration cake washing by a liquid in order to achieve the highest possible efficiency.
