This enables highly efficient washing of the filtration cake and removal of the residual matters that cannot be removed by membrane squeezing only.

The washing liquid is conveyed through the drill holes and holes on one side of the filtration plates. The liquid flows through the cake and washes up the residual dissolved solids stuck to the suspended solids in the cake. After passing through the cake, the liquid flows into holes in the adjacent side of the chamber and then it is drained out of the filter press.

Benefits and fields of use:

  • Applied particularly in chemistry
  • Possibility of achieving high purity of the filtration cake (washing out of undesirable substances)
  • Possibility of extracting the maximum volume of precious substances from the cake (in case that filtrate is the product)
