Description

As required by the customer, the filter presses may be equipped with various types of protection and safety elements with various degrees of safety.

Benefits and fields of use:

  • Protection against injuries
  • Prevention from access of personnel to the filter press working room

Most common types of protection:

  • Safety barriers with refracting photocell – the room is secured by a beam of infrared rays. When the beam is disturbed, the operation of the filter press is automatically interrupted, or stopped. It is usually installed on the service side of the filter press.

  • Wire switch - the room is secured by a wire connected to a safety switch. When loaded, the wire automatically interrupts or stops the operation of the filter press. It is usually installed on the service side of the filter press.

  • Step-on profiles - the room is secured by a grid with a safety pressure switch . When stepping on the grid, the security system is activated, which automatically interrupts or stops the filter press operation. It is usually installed on the service side of the filter press.

  • Handrails and grid – this is a cheaper method of mechanical securing of the filter press, mainly the side without attendance.
